Raja Mangipudy is Senior Vice President and Global Head, Drug Safety Research & Development and Comparative Medicine at Pfizer. He oversees all aspects of non-clinical safety for small and large molecules, vaccines and animal care and welfare across all therapeutic areas and sites.   

Prior to joining Pfizer, Raja spent more than 10 years at Bristol Myers Squibb with responsibility for non-clinical safety evaluation and global veterinary sciences. Raja’s early career experience includes investigator and toxicology roles at Sanofi and Merck.   

Raja earned his Ph.D. in Pharmacology and Toxicology from the University of Louisiana, Monroe and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Toxicology.  In addition, Raja has been a longstanding member of the BioCelerate, Governing Council and is Chair Emeriti of the IQ, DruSafe Leadership Group.
